The issuance of the Seaman’s Book requires specific documents and conditions, as stipulated by the competent authorities. Seamens Club Gr in Thessaloniki and Piraeus, authorized by the seaman and in cooperation with him, undertakes the necessary document submissions and collections at the relevant services. Depending on the type of Seaman’s Book, successful completion of courses at Public Schools for Life-Saving and Firefighting Equipment may also be required.
In the case of an expired Seaman’s Book, re-registration must be carried out at the competent authority, and this process includes medical examinations.
